I would apologize for going all ‘Conventionally’ Christian on you, but I have no apologies for most of us who live unexamined lives a la Thoreau (who said “the mass of men live lives of quiet desperation”. As we all lean into our ‘old souls’ we begin to seek and access our inner truths within, instead of following conventional conditioning. No need to be religious to feel the whole truth in these words.
We may not trespass physically, but we do so mentally and emotionally most of the time. We judge. We encroach. We imagine what we would do in most situations and give advice from that viewpoint. We choose not to pause, listen and advise others on what would be best for them to do in their situation. We overlook that we do not know what is in another's hearts--even as we shadily ‘bless their hearts’ like an old’ white Southern woman. FYI, Black women may say that statement, but my experience has been ‘the lord will take care of that’ or ‘all things come to light’. Or my favorite is Jennifer Lewis on Blackish when she exclaimed ‘Black Jesus!’. That’s my auntie for you!
Saturn is a major energetic force for self-monitoring and living an authentic ‘grown ass’ life. Some call it ‘adulting’, some call it ‘spiritual, not religious’. It’s actions that are aligned with your higher and inclusive ideals. (Pillar Eleven in Our Raw Material)
Adulting in Humanitarian Year 2025---Our Relationship To Saturn
From an egocentric view, Saturn often teaches us through lack and/or comparison.
When this pragmatic lord touches our Sun, we may lack the attention of our fathers or that feeling of someone shining their unique love light onto us. These planetary energies are often archetypal or patterns, Saturn can very well be a grandparent, coach or any adult figure who gives us their experiential wisdom tailored to our unique circumstances.
2025 begins with Mars (antithesis of Cautious Mature Saturn) in retrograde motion in Cancer (where all our feels are accessed), Hothead Warrior (and too often toxic) Mars heats up our reactionary natures. He’ll be challenging our rebirth out of our families of origin. Saturn in Pisces asks each of us to enter into our chosen spiritual communities.. Eff, we still haven’t learned ‘judge, lest you be judged’ said over two thousand years ago. Saturn gives us until May 24, 2025 to grow us up and within in mystical and Christ Consciousness Pisces. Then our karmic teacher of limits and fate moves into much less reflective Aries. Dios Mio! OMG.
January 2025 starts with an ego destabilizing relationship between Saturn in Pisces and Mars in Cancer. Water signs (including Scorpio) can dwell too much in the past. In a very soulful sense, there is a paradox between the love these signs offer and the reactionary nature of these energies.
In essence all reactions (and triggers) are based upon the past. All reactions occur within our relationships. This creates an exploratory foundation of the more inner work and self-monitoring you do, the less you’ll react, the more you’ll respond. Mars in Cancer is all over our bodies, how we were taught to react, what we saw in childhood. Saturn in Pisces offers us many opportunities to access larger and inclusive philosophical pictures. Together, January demands a healthy relationship to our personal Wheel of Fortune.
Questions to Contemplate:
What does fortune mean to you? Many times lotteries and sports betting comes to mind.
How do you define prosperity?
What were your first memories of when you saw and/or felt that money, class or status held power?
Metaphorically, do you ride your Wheel of Fortune from a detached observing center or do you tend to identify with its ups and downs?
Do you tend to identify with a glass that is half empty or full?
Have you ever considered having two glasses in which liquid’ moves between them?
Do you lean into ‘worse case scenarios’ under an image of being realistic and mature? If so, how so?
How do you access your shadow self? If so, how do you accept it as a part of your evolution?
Astrological Relationship of Saturn to your other planetary forces (you may DM or place your birthdate in the comment section for the answers to these following questions---
Saturn: (in relation to your Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars & Venus, sometimes Jupiter?)
Waxing or Waning? Sowing or Reaping?
Reapers learn forgiveness of themselves and others
Sowers learn to consider the consequences of their actions ideally before acting (caution)
Forgiveness and grace, like charity, begins at home (within your soul).
